    GLENN D. WARDEN, MD, MBA, NAMED PLUROGEN™

(Charlottesville, VA) – On behalf of the PluroGen™ Therapeutics, Inc. President & CEO Neal G. Koller has
announced that Glenn D. Warden, MD, MBA has been appointed Vice President of Medical & Scientifi Affairrsof
PluroGen™ effective March 20, 2006.

In making the announcement, Koller stated, “I am extremely pleased that Dr. Warden has accepted the
position of Vice President, Medical & Scientific Affairs at PluroGen™.  His track record as a leader in Burn
Surgery for over 30 years will insure that PluroGen™ meets its milestones and grows into the company
envisioned by the Board of Directors and our investors.”  Dr. Warden added “I am very excited to join
PluroGen™ as Vice President of Medical & Scientific Affairs and Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board, and, look
forward to building a strong scientific team of global leaders in burn and wound care to assure PluroGen™
development of innovative therapies to advance burns and wound treatment and cure.”

Dr. Warden comes to PluroGen™ with more than 35 years of surgical, patient care, medical research
experience and life sciences leadership.  Most recently, he retired as Chief of Staff and Director of Research of
the Shrine Burns Hospital and Vice-chairman of the Department of Surgery, University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati,
Ohio in February 2004.

As Chief of Staff and Director of Research at the Shrine Burns Hospital, Dr. Warden spearheaded initiatives
that established the burn institute as the major research and burn care facility for pediatric patients.  To date
Dr. Warden has authored 250 articles, 340 abstracts and 34 book chapters.  He serves as Emeritus Editor-in-
Chief for the Journal of Burn Care & Rehabilitation.  His research interests include burn and transplant
immunology, burn shock and critical care, wound healing and tissue engineering.

Dr. Warden has been active member of the American Burn Association (ABA) since 1973. He has held
numerous committee and officer positions throughout the years and was President of the ABA from 1992-
1993 and the recipient of the coveted Harvey Stuart Allen Distinguished Service Award in 1997 and the
American Burn Association Special Achievement Award in 2006.

Dr. Warden also brings medical business experience to PluroGentm.  In 1999, he received a Masters of
Business Administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
