2 NEW PLUROGEL™ PRODUCTS INTRODUCED
AT THE EUROPEAN WOUND MANAGEMENT CONGRESS (EWMA) IN LISBON
(Charlottesville, VA, May 14, 2008) – 2 new products incorporating PluroGen’s core gel technology, PluroGel™,
were introduced at Europe’s premiere wound healing congress, the EWMA, held for 2008 on 14 - 16 May in
Lisbon, Portugal. PluroGen’s partner for these products, Welcare Industries, S.p.A., introduced both EasyDerm®
Chronic Wound with PluroGel™ and EasyDerm® BFR (Bacterial Film Remover) with PluroGel™. Both products
received strong interest at the Welcare booth in the EWMA exhibition hall where they were presented.
Commenting on the product launch, Neal G. Koller, President & CEO of PluroGen, said, “This is a milestone event
for PluroGen because it is the first commercial product launch in the company’s history. Welcare has done a
terrific job in the launch, generating solid interest in their products with our PluroGel™ from doctors, nurses and
distributors attending the EWMA. PluroGen has taken a major and important step forward.”
Fulvia Lazzarotto, Managing Director for Welcare, stated, “The doctors and nurses, and our distributors, visiting
our launch at the EWMA had great interest in our new EasyDerm® products with PluroGel™. EasyDerm® Chronic
Wound with PluroGel™ addresses the needs of a critical step in wound therapy, specifically wound cleansing,
where there is a need for an improved product. EasyDerm® BFR with PluroGel™ provides an answer to the
growing concern for MRSA and VRE. This was an important product launch for Welcare. We have high
expectations for our new EasyDerm® with PluroGel™ products.”
